What a way to wrap up the 2019 Con season! We met some incredible fans, had new products on display and a couple of surprises!
We showcased our upcoming Abe Sapien by 1000Toys. If you saw it at SDCC, you may have noticed some paint changes! In addition to this fantastic figure, we displayed our newest print, "Return To Crookback Bog" by Riccardo Federici, part of our The Witcher 3 - Wild Hunt giclée print series. We also displayed our upcoming The Last of Us Part II - Ellie Statue (sold out). Fans were amazed at the scale and attention to detail.
Stranger Things fans were surprised to see Matthew Modine signing at our booth... and so were we! We hope to see him at future Cons. The legendary Yoshitaka Amano was also signing at our booth. We, and fans alike, were honored to meet him. On Friday, we had the cast of the upcoming SyFy series Resident Alien. On Sunday, we had the cast of The Orville signing alongside the writers, directors and producers.
Now, the biggest surprise was for The Umbrella Academy fans. Throughout NYCC, Dark Horse and Netflix teamed up and handed out exclusive prints and VIP wristbands to fans who visited the Dark Horse booth cosplaying as their favorite Umbrella Academy characters (from both the comic series and Netflix show). On Saturday, those fans had the exclusive opportunity to meet two of our favorite characters: Klaus (Robert Sheehan) and Ben (Justin H. Min) Hargreeves!
